THE DARK SIDE OF THE FOOD – Dark Version

Data on restaurant-associated food borne outbreaks
reported in England and Wales from 1992 to 2009.

This data visualization was originally made for the “Food Poisoning” challenge organized by Kantar Information is beautiful Awards 2014.

The project is based on the idea of showing the dark side of the food in a clear and easily identifiable data.
The feature that I have tried to emphasize is the ability to read data in different directions and compare them according to the order of reading of the beholder.

All About Fast Food

One of the biggest symbols of American culture is the fast food industry. What was once a luxury and seen as a frivolity, it’s grown into a multi-billion dollar industry that capitalizes on the convenience desired by the average American along with serving up ludicrously large portions to what was once American excess but is now the norm. Below, you’ll find an infographic for your viewing pleasure that delves into another side of the fast food business: it’s business practices. So take a moment and read through it to add some education as to what it is you’re consuming and maybe next time you’ll think twice about ordering that super sized burger meal Americans eat this stuff alot but we aren’t the only ones, those Asians love their McDonalds just as much.
