How Happy is the Meal You’re Paying For?

With iconic products, especially food products that are marketed primarily to children, I think it’s beneficial to take a moment to investigate how products this recognizable and loved have become so iconic. 37% of children say McDonald’s is their fast food chain of choice, and no other company gets more than 10% of their vote.

Fast Food Nation

Fast food has become so pervasive in the U.S. that popular chains can be found anywhere from truck stops in the middle of nowhere to high traffic shopping centers. So where do Americans love dollar menus, value meals and drive-thru ordering the most? We looked at spending data for the largest 100 cities in the U.S. by population and determined which cities spent the most and ate the most often at the following national fast food chains: McDonald’s, Wendy’s, KFC, Taco Bell, Subway, Pizza Hut, Arby’s, and Burger King.

Who’s Lovin’ It?

McDonalds Infographic depicts visual representation of McDonalds’ facts in order to raise awareness of increasing rates of obesity among adults and children, which could be related to the number of Happy Meals consumption in the United States. Additionally, the Infographic incorporates social media to draw the line between customer satisfaction reviews on social networks and information found on McDonalds’ corporate website.
